Biography

Twenty-five years business, management and financial experience allow Sandy to be a well rounded financial professional. Her employers have included Epson America, Johnston & Murphy and Bridgestone Firestone. Her responsibilities influenced the nation-wide markets of these consumer giants. Regardless of the industry, or title, Sandy has consistently excelled and been recognized at the national level for her success.

She founded Arons & Associates Divorce Planning after experiencing her own divorce. She realized that the financial issues of divorce are quite complicated and not the responsibility of the attorney. Sandy's unique qualifications allow her to help divorcing couples and their attorneys understand the complex financial and taxation issues of divorce.

Sandy works with clients in a wide range of incomes and with varying degrees of financial knowledge. This experience allows her to address client's unique financial needs and explain unfamiliar financial and tax issues of divorce in language clients and their attorneys understand. Sandy has expertise in dealing with the broad variety of financial planning issues of divorce including: division of assets/debts, investments, executive compensation plans, retirement accounts/pensions, after-tax cash flow analysis, net worth projections and creating viable scenarios for child support/alimony.

Sandy has authored several articles on divorce which have been published and distributed nation-wide. Her most recent publication is, The After Divorce Financial Survival Guide. She has also instructed, Get a Financially Smart Divorce classes for the Nashville Bar Association and Evening Classes for the University School of Nashville.

Sandy was the financial neutral for the first Collaborative Law divorce case in Tennessee and continues to be a pioneer and advocate for Collaborative divorce in the state. She is a Founding Member and Treasurer of the Middle Tennessee Collaborative Alliance (the local association for collaborative professionals) and a Founding Member of the Tennessee Chapter of the Association of Divorce Financial Planners.
